Remodelling Your Old Jewellery

Why remodel your old pieces?

For many, remodelling your old jewellery into something new is a way to breathe new life into an item that has sentimental value but doesn’t quite suit your style anymore. Some people might want to keep a family heirloom but update it to feel more contemporary, while others simply want to create something entirely new from a collection of old pieces.

We have worked with many client’s who have wanted to rework old pieces, from updating an engagement ring’s design whilst keeping the essence of the original - through to combining all diamonds and gemstones in their jewellery box to use as a source for several new pieces.

Whichever you are interested in, we can offer a wonderful way to update your jewellery wardrobe, and most importantly, get you wearing your precious diamonds again.

Heirlooms, reimagined…

The beauty of remodelling jewellery is that it offers a wonderful balance between the old and the new. You get to keep the memories tied to the original piece, while creating something that reflects your current taste. Whether it’s a sparkling new ring made from your grandmother’s brooch or a modern pendant crafted from a cherished set of earrings, the result can be a meaningful and beautiful piece that you’ll enjoy for years to come. Our client came in with her jewellery box, filled with old pieces she no longer wore or felt attached to. We worked with her to create many new pieces, among which was this bespoke reimagining of our Bind ring. The client wanted something that felt fluid and had a reference to nature, whilst still being bold and eye-catching.

The Process

When you bring your old jewellery to us for remodelling, we begin by carefully assessing the diamonds and gemstones in the piece. This process ensures that the sentimental value of your stones is preserved while giving them new life in a bespoke design.

For this particular piece, we selected the marquise diamonds in an old pair of earrings to be incorporated into the new, nature inspired piece.

After a consultation with our client where we discussed what sort of piece she was after, came the design stage. After drawing up some design options for her, we decided on the piece you see above, a bespoke take on our Mega Bind ring, that incorporated her marquise shaped diamonds. The client wears both yellow and white gold daily, so we decided to go for a mixed metal design, ensuring the piece could be worn alongside the items of jewellery she already owned and wore regularly.

Handmade in London

The finished piece was made in our London workshop, where Ema oversees every stage of the process to ensure the highest quality jewellery.

We were so thrilled to be able to repurpose some of our client’s stones into a spectacular ring that she is excited to wear.
